What We do at perfect Balance Pilates

Perfect Balance Pilates offers Reformer Pilates.  All Reformers are made by Balanced Body and all are equipped with Towers.  Covid 19 Governor Mandates are strictly followed and all individuals who enter the studio must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth. Masks are worn the entire time anyone is in the studio including during the classes.  All equipment is 6 feet apart, everyone is required is use hand sanitizer and all equipment is wiped thoroughly with disinfect wipes after class.  

Mat Pilates & Weight Strength class is taught by Zoom and no longer taught in studio.

WHAT IS PILATES?

WHAT IS REFORMER PILATES?

Pilates is known to stretch, strengthen, gain flexibility and balance your body, while connecting the mind with the body.  Strengthening the ‘Powerhouse’ which includes the abdomen, lower back, hips and buttocks is the biggest benefit that you will get while practicing Pilates.  Pilates incorporates all of the above with an emphasis on particular breathing patterns.

Invented by Pilates founder Joseph Pilates, the reformer is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it, called the carriage, which rolls back and forth on wheels within the frame. The carriage is attached to one end of the reformer by a set of springs. The springs provide choices of differing levels of resistance as the carriage is pushed or pulled along the frame. One of the best things about the reformer is its versatility. Exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing the footbar, so many different ways with just one relatively sleek piece of equipment.

 

JUMP BOARD PILATES:

Cardio, the Pilates way! Using the Pilates Jump board, a padded board that replaces the foot bar on a Pilates Reformer, it is comparable to lying down and jumping on a trampoline! This unique piece of equipment makes it possible to have a very safe and low impact cardio workout on the Pilates Reformer! Cardio Pilates Classes are full body and combine intervals of toning and cardio for the most effective caloric burn.  This class will combine tradition Reformer exercises also.  

WHAT IS MAT PILATES?

THIS CLASS IS OFFERED BY ZOOM ONLY, NO IN STUDIO CLASSES.

A Mat Pilates class consists of Pilates exercises done on a mat,either standing, sitting or lying down position. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility. The outcome of Pilates training is a balanced body which is strong and supple, flat stomach, balanced legs, and a strong back. All Equipment provided. Check out this fun, energized class!!!

Circuit Pilates

Wunda Chair & Barre Pilates

Come experience the Pilates Wunda Chair & Pilates Barre in this 45 minute class, limited to 3 Participants!!

WHAT IS BODY SCULPTING?

THIS CLASS IS OFFERED BY ZOOM ONLY, NO IN STUDIO CLASSES. 

Move to the music with light free weights. Every major muscle group is used in this 50 minute workout. All equipment provided. Come join the fun!

JUDY BENDURE

OWNER & INSTRUCTOR

Judy is Balanced Body University Certified Comprehensive Instructor, Certified in all 3 Levels of Reformer Pilates Instruction from beginning to advanced and all levels of Pilates Mat Instruction & all levels of various Pilates apparatus. Judy recognizes that if Pilates is not done correctly and safely, the participants can injure themselves. She also requires all her instructors to maintain high level of certification from Balanced Body University. Judy has personally been injured by exercise programs that were led by individuals who did not understand nor obtain proper certifications in their specific area of exercise Instruction.

Judy believes that Pilates is the best method of strength and flexibility exercise. She personally has total bi-lateral hip replacements and has been diagnosed with several bulging discs as well as disintegrating discs in her back.  She is able to complete all Pilate’s exercises and remain pain free in her life due to the core strengthening and flexibility she derives from her daily Pilates exercise routine. When Judy retired from the state she became a Personal Trainer and specialized in Pilates Instruction.
